Welcome to our November issue of By Kids 4 Kids! 

What is November?   The first real chill of winter, mid-terms and plans for the upcoming Winter holidays! 

We've got a great pattern for a cozy to keep your tea or hot cider nice and toasty during those study dates, a fun knitted rose (great for personalizing your backpack or to give as a gift!) and a clever project for a gift basket to hold whatever you may be giving!

Gift Wrap Emergency?

 You've Got All the Angles!!!
Mid terms are approaching and study dates are getting longer as we all get ready for mid-year exams.   Make this simple felted tea cozy -- a great way to keep a pot of tea or hot cider warm while studying!

Here is our favorite recipe for hot spiced cider.
   1 can of frozen condensed apple cider
   4 cans water (the label says 3, but this cooks down)
   1 cinnamon stick
   6 cloves
   10 whole allspice
Put in a pan and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.  Goes GREAT with oatmeal cookies and there is nothing like coming home on a cold day to hot cider on the stove!

Knitted Roses

These knit wool-ease roses are the height of fashion!  Do all the backpacks at school look alike?  Hang a rose on yours and don't worry again about finding it in that heap on the gym floor!  Or use one or two to brighten up a lapel or purse.
