Earth Day - Taking Care This month, we're featuring projects that contribute positively to saving the environment. The first time I babysat for someone who used cloth diapers, I thought 'oh GROSS!' But the new cloth diapers turned out to be very easy to use. And when you think about what happens to the environment when disposables are put in a landfill, well that is maybe even more gross! So among our projects, we are offering a 'soaker' cover to be used over cloth diapers. We have a lovely little preemie and newborn hat to crochet from Lion Organic Cotton. Our Knifty Knitter project makes recycling plastic bags simple. -- Elizabeth -- P.S. Did you like this issue? If you are not already a subscriber to BK4K, click here! Its free! |

We made this beaded bookmark so we'd have a way to keep our place without damaging the book. It would make a fantastic (and inexpensive!) project for a class or club and it is a great idea if you need to make gifts for a lot of people. |
