Knitting and crocheting for charity is important to us here at Lion Brand, so each month, we feature a charity that's reaching out to people through yarncrafts.
For the past decade, The Handiwork Ministry has provided handcrafted goods to those who need comfort in the US and Canada. Recipients have included people in hospitals, nursing homes, cancer treatment centers, children's support agencies, domestic violence programs, the US military, and more. In the past, members have knitted and crocheted everything from afghans to hot/cold packs, but the organization is always open to project ideas. Click to continue reading.
