(worked over 13 sts)

Pattern:

Rows 1, 3, 5, 7 and 11 (RS) [K1 tbl, p1] 6 times, k1 tbl.
Row 2 and all WS rows
[P1 tbl, k1] 6 times, p1 tbl.
Row 9 Sl 6 sts to cn and hold to back, [k1 tbl, p1] 3 times, k1 tbl; taking care not to twist sts, cont in rib from cn as foll: [p1, k1 tbl] 3 times.
Row 12 Rep row 2.
Rep rows 1–12.

Note: this is a generic pattern for creating this cable. For a single cable it would be 13 stitches. In the example shown, there is one repeat of the stitch with 12 stitches are on either side, so you'd need to cast on 37 (12 + 13 + 12) stitches and knit 12 stitches before and after the pattern.
