Knitted Two-Tone Tunic Reviewed by Victoria on 2011-08-23 *****
This was my first knitting project, I am an adult. My mother is an excellent knitter so I was blessed in having someone to run to when I needed help. I did not use lion brand wool - I used a different brand of super bulky wool that I found on sale. I found the pattern easy to follow. There were only a few times that I had some confusion but if I didn't have my mother, I am sure I would have found the info on the internet. Things like how to set in the sleeves, what they mean by every fourth row - does that start on row one or row four for counting, little things like that. For a beginner pattern I wish they took the extra space to include that kind of information. I have it done though and I am really pleased by the outcome. It looks like a sweater. It is warm and it fits. The neck is tight to get over my head though - if I were to make it again I would not decrease that last little bit as much as the pattern calls for. I also made my arms longer than they called for. It has made me want to do another sweater and I have my next pattern picked out. If you know nothing about knitting it is a good place to start and although it is not the most beautiful sweater I own it is not ugly but quite nice. I would wear it in public.:)
