Lampshade Cover
Lion Brand® Glitterspun® - Moonlight Mohair
GAUGE: 10 stitches x 15½ rows = 4 inches [1- cm] BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: Measure the circumference of your shade both top and bottom. Measure the height. The shade shown
is 10½" high with 31½" top circumference and 44" bottom circumference. Adjust this
pattern as needed to fit.
Knit the piece about an inch higher than the actual lampshade measurements. Knit a nice loose
stockinette stitch so it will have a lot of stretch. Begin your pattern with the largest
circumference. The pattern for the item shown piece is as follows, but you can place stripes as you
see fit. It is great to have them be thin, fuzzy and widely spaced. Hold your work up to the shade
as you knit to make sure things are right.
