Note: Pattern is written for smallest size with changes for larger sizes in parentheses. When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. To follow pattern more easily, circle all numbers pertaining to your size before beginning.

CORRECTIONS: (applied Nov 23, 2005)
Correction 1 RIGHT FRONT Row 76 (88) Purl to last 2 sts, p2tog - 21 (23) sts. Row 77 (89) Knit. Row 78 (90) Purl. Correction 2 COLLAR Bind off. Fold under at Row 3 and sew down picot hem. Using 3 plies of lavender and green yarn, duplicate stitch design on sweater pieces (see chart). Correction 3 After the Front Bands section and just above the Mittens instructions should go the Finishing section: Finishing Sew shoulder seams. Place markers 4 1/2 (5 1/2)" down from shoulder seams and sew sleeves between markers. Sew side and sleeve seams. GAUGE:

When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
