GAUGE:
15 sts + 20 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in St st (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) with larger needles. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
Loop Knit next st; leave on left needle.

With new st (loop) on right needle, bring yarn to front between needles (between st on left and loop on right); wrap yarn under left thumb to back of work (again between needles) forming a large Loop.

Knit first st on left needle again, dropping st from left needle.

Pass second st on right needle over first, securing Loop.

Note: Loops need not be consistent in size
