GAUGE:
20 sts = 9" [23 cm] in pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.
INSTRUCTIONS
SCARF
With MC, cast on 20 sts.
Row 1 (wrong side) K 1, (p 3, k 2) 3 times, p 3, k 1.
Row 2 Knit.
Repeat Rows 1-2 until piece measures approximately 60" [152.5 cm].
Bind off all sts in pattern.
With CC and crochet hook, work 1 round of single crochet around all edges of Scarf.
Sew buttons randomly on both ends of Scarf as desired.
