GAUGE:
7 stitches + 10 rows = 5" [12.5 cm] in garter stitch (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

INSTRUCTIONS

SCARF Cast on 7 stitches. Work in garter stitch until piece measures about 64" [162.5cm] long. Bind off. FRINGE Cut 12 lengths of yarn each 24". Fold one length of yarn in half. Using fingers, pull the fold through the first space along one short end of scarf, from back to front, to form a loop. Pull ends of yarn through this loop. Tug gently so the loop is snug against the edge. Trim evenly.
