GAUGE: 12 sts + 24 rows (12 ridges) = 4" [10 cm] in Garter st (k every row) with 3 strands held tog BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NECK WRAP
With 2 strands of A and 1 strand of B held tog, cast on 22 sts.
Work in Garter st until piece measures 14” [35.5 cm] from beginning.
Next row Knit 11 stitches. Turn and work back.
Work even on these 11 stitches until piece measures 17” [43 cm] from
beginning. Put these stitches on holder. Break yarn and reattach on opposite
side.
Work even on these 11 stitches until piece measures 17” [43 cm] from
beginning.
Next row Knit across all 22 stitches.
Work even until piece measures 22” [56 cm] from beginning.
Bind off. Weave in ends. |

| I've just knitted three of these and they simply add sooo much to an outfit to dress it up and are very easy to knit. I began knitting again just before Christmas after not having knitted for over 45 years and found this to be quite easy to accomplish. In fact, I did the 3 of them in 1 1/2 days (along with my housework and cooking). So Yes, this is an easy and great pattern and scarf. Thanks LionBrand! BarbaraB
