DENIM JACKET
Fringe
Measure edge of pockets, sleeves from underarm to top of cuff, collar from collar point on one side around neck to collar point on other side, and back of jacket along yoke seam just below shoulders. Cut a length of net to each of these measurements, adding 2” [5 cm] to each.
Wrap A around a 4” [10 cm] strip of cardboard. Slip scissors under yarn and cut loops open at one end of cardboard. Use these pieces of yarn for fringe on sleeves of jacket. Wrap A around 2” [5 cm] strip of cardboard and follow general instructions to make fringe for collar, pockets and back of jacket.
Pocket
Apply glue to wrong side of each pocket and apply fringe.
Collar
With B and crochet hook, make a chain the same length as strip of fringe for collar. Make a second chain with C. Glue fringe to top of collar. Glue B chain just above fringe, then C chain next to it.
Back of Jacket
With B and crochet hook, make a chain the same length as strip of fringe for back of jacket. Make a second chain with C. Glue fringe to back of jacket. Glue B chain just above fringe, then C chain next to it.
Sleeves
Lay jacket flat with back facing up. With B and crochet hook, make a chain the same length as strip of fringe for each sleeve. Make 2 more chains with C. Glue fringe to each sleeve along bottom edge. Glue B chain just above fringe, then C chain next to it.
