This pattern made a very nice horse head. I used 1 skein of Homespun for the head, suede for the mane, bridle and reins and I used key rings on the bridle for the metal rings. I found very nice horse eyes at AC Moore. Both of my daughters love this horse! It wasn't too difficult and didn't take very long to make either.
