GAUGE:
8 sc + 8 rows = 4" [10 cm] with 1 strand each of A and B held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

INSTRUCTIONS

COVER Bottom With 1 strand each of A and B held tog, ch 4 (5, 6). Sc in 2nd ch from hookand in each ch across; turn - 3 (4, 5) sc. Side Rnd 1 Ch 1, sc in 3 (4, 5) sc, sc into side of Bottom, work 3 (4, 5) scacross foundation ch, sc into side of Bottom; join with sl st in first sc; turn- 8 (10, 12) sc. Rnds 2-7 (2-7, 2-9) Ch 1, sc in 8 (10, 12) sc; join with sl st in firstsc; turn. Fasten off. FINISHING Weave in ends.
