Lion Brand® Romance®
GAUGE: 11 sts + 10 rows = 4" [10 cm] in Garter stitch (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: |
LACE PATTERN
Row 1 K1, *k2 tog, yo; rep from * to last stitch, k1.
Row 2 Knit.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for Lace Pattern |

Ruffle
Cast on 96 sts. Knit 4 rows.
Body
Next Row (K3tog) across – 32 sts.
Work in Lace Pattern until piece measures 64" [162.5 cm] from beginning, end with a Row 2.
Ruffle
Next Row * K into front and back of st, yo; rep from * to last st, end k into front, back, and
then front of last st – 96 sts.
Knit 4 rows. Bind off. |

I am very much a beginner and had to search for instructions for YO! I am so proud of my project and it is gorgeous. I will post it as a picture when it is done.
I made the pattern with additional cast on stitches so it would be wider to keep me toasty warm during cold New Hampshire evenings!
