Lion Brand® TiffanyTM - Lion® Cashmere Blend - Wool-Ease®
GAUGE: 16 sts and 24 row = 4in[10 cm] in Stockinette St (k on RS, p on
WS) with 1 strand each of A and B held together BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

BUNNY
Head
Beg at top of head, with 1 strand each of A and B held together,
cast on 9 sts. Divide sts evenly onto 3 needles and join, being
careful not to twist sts. Place marker for beg of rnd.
Rnd 1 K, inc 5 sts evenly spaced around – 14 sts.
Rnds 2 and 4 Knit.
Rnd 3 K, inc 6 sts evenly spaced around – 20 sts.
Rnd 5 K 4, inc 5 sts evenly spaced around – 25 sts.
Knit 13 rnds even.
Next Rnd *K 1, k2tog, rep from *, end k1 – 17 sts.
Next Rnd K 1, (k2tog) 3 times, k1, (k2tog) 4 times, k 1 –
10 sts.
Knit 2 rnds even.
Divide for Front and Back
Front
K 5, place remaining 5 sts onto holder.
Next row Cast on 5, p 5, cast on 5 – 15 sts.
Work back and forth in St st for 9 rows. Cut yarns, leave sts on
holder for Front.
Back
Sl 5 sts from holder to a 2nd dpn. Work Back in same manner as
Front. Do not cut yarns.
Joining Rnd
Divide 30 Back and Front sts onto 3 needles. Join, place marker
for beg of rnd. K 19 rnds.
Divide for Legs
K across 7 sts of Front, bind off next (center Front) st, k across
7 sts of Front, 7 sts of Back, bind off next (center Back) st, k
across remaining 7 sts of Back.
Place 1 set of 7 Front and 7 adjoining Back sts on a holder.
Leg
Divide 14 sts remaining on needles onto 3 dpn for Leg. Join,
place marker for beg of rnd. Work in St st for 13 Rnds.
Next Rnd K2tog around – 7 sts.
K 1 rnd. Cut yarns, leaving long tails. Draw tails through
remaining sts, pull tightly tog and end off.
Work 2nd Leg in same manner on remaining 14 sts.
Sew cast-on sts of Front and Back tog at shoulders.
Stuff Head, Body and Legs.
Arms
Rnd 1 From RS, with 1 strand each A and B held tog, pick up
and k 13 sts around armhole. Divide sts onto 3 dpn. Join, place
marker for beg of rnd. Work in St st for 23 rnds.
Next Rnd K2 tog around, end k1 – 7 sts. Stuff Arm, end
off as for Leg. Work 2nd Arm in same manner.
Outer Ear (Make 2)
From RS, with 1 strand each A and B held tog, pick up 5 sts along
side top of head.
Next Row (WS) K 5 sts.
Next Row (RS) K 1, k in front and back of next st (inc
made), p 1, inc in next st, k 1 – 7 sts.
Next Row Knit.
Next Row K 1, p 5, k 1. Rep last 2 rows 5 more times. K 1
row on WS.
Next Row (RS) K 1, p2tog, p1, p2tog, k 1. Knit 1 row.
Next Row (RS) K 1, p3tog, k 1. Knit 1 row.
Next Row (RS) K3tog. Fasten off.
Rep for 2nd Outer Ear.
Inner Ear (Make 2)
With C, cast on 2 sts. Purl 1 row.
Next Row (RS) Inc 1 st in first and last sts – 4 sts.
Work in St st for 12 rows, end with a WS row. (K2tog) twice. Purl
1 row. K2tog. Fasten off.
FINISHING
With D, and following diagram, work straight st eyes, nose, and
mouth. Sew Inner Ear to center of Outer Ear. Weave in ends.
PomPom Tail
Holding 1 strand of A and B together, wrap yarn around cardboard
– the more wraps, the fuller the Pompom will be. Cut yarn
leading to skeins. Slide a doubled strand of yarn under center of
wraps and knot. Clip loops; remove cardboard. Fluff Pompom and
trim ends evenly. Use the ends of the knotted strand to attach
Pompom to back of Bunny. |

| This was the 1st toy I've made. Also the 1st time I used dpn's. It really was fun to make. Only took me about 12 hours. It is adorable. I will probably lengthen the legs & shorten the arms for the next ones. I think the hardest part was getting the face right. :-)
