Ch 3. Rnd 1 8 sc in 3rd ch from hook. Place marker for beg of rnd.
Slip marker each rnd. Rnd 2 (Sc, ch 2) in each st around. Rnd 3 * (Sc, ch 2) in next sc, sk ch-space; rep from *
around. Rnd 4 (Sc, ch 1) in each st and each space around. Rnd 5 * Sc, ch 2 in the back loops only of each sc, sk ch-space;
rep from *. Join with a slip st to first sc. Fasten off.
Handle
With C, ch 51. Row 1 Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across – 50 sc. Row 2 Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. Row 3 Ch 1, turn, fold first two rows over and working
through both layers, (sc, ch 2) in each st across ending with a sc.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Following photograph, overlap 5 A Petals to make a circle. Sew
together for Purse front. Sew B motif in center. Repeat for Purse
back.
From RS, sew front and back together, leaving top edge open.
Insert 1″ [2.5 cm] at each end of Handle into Purse and sew in
place. Weave in ends.

Such a cute idea and fun yarn color choices, however I didn't care for the chain spaces on the petal motifs. I re-worked the petal motif with half double crochet(hdc)and placed increases evenly for 5 rounds so the work lies flat and then worked 1 slip stitch(sl st)in each stitch around for the 6th and final round of each petal motif. For the handle, I began with 61 sc. On last row of handle, I did just 1 sc between sc's.
