Plush Puppy Slippers
Lion Brand® TiffanyTM
GAUGE: 22 sts + 25 rows = 5 in. [12.5 cm] in St st (k on RS, p on WS) using 2 strands of A held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

BOOTIES
With 2 strands of A held tog, cast on 24 (26, 28, 30) sts.
Row 1 (RS): Knit.
Row 2: K 2, p 20 (22, 24, 26), k 2.
Rep Rows 1 and 2 until piece measures 2½ in. [6.5 cm], end with a WS row.
Continue in St st until piece measures 4½ (5, 5¼, 5½) in. [11.5 (12.5, 13.5, 14) cm] from beg,
end with a WS row.
Next Row: K2tog across – 12 (13, 14, 15) sts.
Next Row: Purl. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining sts and pull
tightly to secure.
FINISHING
Fold piece in half, sew back seam.
Sew top seam up to knit sts, leaving a 2½ in. [6.5 cm] opening.
Ears (make 4)
With 2 strands of B held tog, cast on 5 sts.
Knit 6 rows.
Next Row: K2tog, k 1, k2tog – 3 sts.
Bind off as if to knit.
Sew 2 Ears on front of each Bootie. Sew button on front for nose.
Spots
With B, cut 12 lengths of yarn each 5 in. [12.5 cm] long. Using 2 strands of yarn held tog, make
a triple overhand knot in the center. Sew 3 Spots on back of each Bootie in a random pattern.
Tail (make 2)
With 2 strands of B held tog, cast on 5 sts. Bind off all sts. Sew tails at top back seam.
Weave in ends. |

| I love this little slippers they're so cute! The pattern was easy enough but using the yarn was a bit of a challenge, especially using 2 strands. The fuzz of the yarn made it difficult to always make sure I had the stitch correct, so I restarted a few times because I wasn't happy with the mistakes, but eventually got the hang of it and they are adorable. I included eyes and a nose and didn't do the tail or the spots.
