GAUGE:

10 hdc + 8 rows = 4 in. [10 cm]. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

hdc2tog (hdc dec) Yarn over, insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw though all 5 loops on hook.

What are you waiting for? Reviewed by Mrs Heather B P DiBella on 2011-09-29 *****
Worked this one up in less than two days. While I am a fast crocheter, one of my novice friends remarked, "Even I could handle that!" It's absolutely beautiful when it's done, too, and I've received a ton of compliments at work. I didn't use Homespun, though. I used Jiffy because I know my limits and I have a lot of difficulty crocheting with Homespun. But whatever yarn you choose, this will look lovely!
