GAUGE:

16 sts + 8 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in pattern stitch.
13 dc + 8 rows = 4 in. [10 cm]. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Lush Lace Pullover Reviewed by Jeanine Lorentzen on 2009-10-30 *****
A good pattern. I especially enjoyed doing the sleeves. Pay attention to the measurements. They are correct. I made a small although I usually take a larger size. I just lengthened the sleeves by one inch and the sweater fits nicely. I like to turn the collar down like a turtleneck. This was my first full size sweater.
