GAUGE:
18 sts + 26 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
K1, p1 Rib Row 1: *K1, p1; rep from *. Row 2: K the k sts and p the p sts. Rep Row 2 for pattern.

INSTRUCTIONS

SHRUG PANEL (make 2) Cast on 86 sts. Work in k1, p1 Rib for 2 in. [5 cm]. Beg with a k row, work in St st (k on RS, pon WS) until piece measures 42 in. [106.5 cm] from beg. Work in k1, p1 Rib for 2 in. [5 cm] more.Bind off. FINISHING Lay panels side-by-side with long sides together and sew center seam. Fold in half, lining upthe k1, p1 Rib sections and sew 15 in. [38 cm] of side seams, leaving top 7 in. [18 cm] near foldededge open for armholes. Weave in ends.
