GAUGE:

12 dc + 6.5 rows = 5 in. [12.75 cm]. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

sc2tog (sc dec) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

Yarn over, insert hook into st and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops. Yarn over, insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through 2 loops, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook.

Row 1:
Dc in 4th ch from hook and every ch across – 41 (46, 50, 55, 60) dc (beg ch counts as dc).
Rows 2-3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn, dc in each dc across.
Row 4:
Ch 3, turn, dc2tog, dc in each dc across to last 2 dc, dc2tog – 39 (44, 48, 53, 58) dc.
Row 5: Ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across.
Row 6-8: Rep Rows 2-4 – 37 (42, 46, 51, 56) dc.
For Sizes S And M Only: Ch 3, turn, dc in first 17 (20) dc, dc2tog, dc across rem dc – 36 (41) dc.
For All Sizes: Continue in dc until piece measures 15 (16½, 18, 18, 18) in. [38 (42, 45.5, 45.5, 45.5) cm] from beg – 36 (41, 46, 51, 56) dc.

Shape Armhole
Next Row:
Turn, sl st over first 3 (3, 4, 4, 4) dc, ch 3 (counts as dc), dc across to last 2 (2, 3, 3, 3) dc, leave rem dc unworked – 32 (37, 40, 45, 50) dc.
Next Row: Ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across.
Continue in dc until armhole measures 6¾ (7½, 8¼, 9, 9½) in. [17 (19, 21, 23, 24) cm].

Shape Shoulder
Next Row:
Ch 1, turn, sc across first 7 (9, 10, 12, 14) dc. Fasten off. Skip center 18 (19, 20, 21, 22) dc for neck. Join yarn in next dc and sc across rem 7 (9, 10, 12, 14) dc. Fasten off.

RIGHT FRONT
Ch 30 (32, 35, 38, 41).
Row 1 (RS):
Dc in 4th ch from hook and every ch across – 28 (30, 33, 36, 39) dc (beg ch counts as dc).
Rows 2-4: Ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across.
Row 5: Ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across to last 2 dc, dc2tog – 27 (29, 32, 35, 38) dc.\
Row 6-12: Rep Rows 2-5 twice – 25 (27, 30, 33, 36) dc.
Continue in dc until piece measures same length as Back to armhole, end with a WS row.

Shape Armhole
Next Row (RS):
Ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across to last 2 (2, 3, 3, 3) dc, leave rem dc unworked – 23 (25, 27, 30, 33) dc.
Next Row: Ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across.
Continue in dc until piece is same length as back to shoulder shaping, end with a RS row.

Ch 3, turn, dc in next 6 (8, 9, 11, 13) dc, dc2tog, leave rem dc unworked for neck – 8 (10, 11, 13, 15) dc (beg ch and dc2tog each count as dc).

LEFT FRONT
Work as for Right Front, reversing shaping.

SLEEVES (make 2)
Ch 36 (38, 40, 42, 44).
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and every ch across – 34 (36, 38, 40, 42) dc (beg ch counts as dc).
Rows 2-10 (10, 12, 12, 12): Ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across.
Next Row: Ch 3, turn, dc in first 17 (18, 19, 20, 21) dc, 2 dc in next dc, dc in each dc across – 35 (37, 39, 41, 43) dc.
Continue in dc until piece measures 14½ (14½, 16, 16, 16) in. [37 (37, 40.5, 40.5, 40.5) cm from beg.

Shape Cap
Next Row:
Turn, sl st over first 3 (3, 4, 4, 4) dc, ch 3 (counts as dc), dc across to last 2 (2, 3, 3, 3) dc, leave rem dc unworked – 31 (33, 33, 35, 37) dc.
Next Row: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, dc2tog, dc in next 23 (25, 25, 27, 29) dc, dc2tog, sc2tog. Fasten off.

Belt
Ch 6.
Row 1:
Dc in 4th ch from hook and each ch across – 4 dc (beg ch counts as dc).
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across.
Continue in dc for 72 in. [183 cm]. Do not fasten off. Turn to work along long edge. Work 1 rnd of sc evenly spaced around all edges of belt, working 3 sc in each corner, sl st to beg sc to join. Fasten off.

FINISHING
Sew shoulder and side seams. Sew Sleeve seams. Sew in Sleeves.

Wrist Edging
From RS, join yarn at seam of wrist edge. Work 2 rnds sc evenly around wrist edge. Fasten off.

Edging
From RS, join yarn at Right Front side seam.
Rnd 1:
Sc along lower edge of Right Front, work 3 sc in corner, sc evenly along Right Front edge until 1 row before neck, ch 3 for button loop, sc around neck to Left Front, work 3 sc in corner, sc evenly along Left Front edge, work 3 sc in corner, sc along lower edge to beg sc, sl st in first sc to join.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, working 3 sc in corners and in ch-3 button loop, sl st in first sc to join. Fasten off.

Sew button on Left Front opposite buttonhole. Sew snap closure on inside corner of Right Front neck and corresponding edge of Left Front.

Weave in ends.

This is FABULOUS!!!!! I made it under three weeks. It is soft, easy and fast. The pattern runs a little small, so I made the medium. LOVE the color and the style. Thanks Lion Brand!!!
