Round 1: Chain 4, double crochet in same stitch, chain 2, * [double crochet, chain 2, double crochet, chain 2] in next stitch, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch in chain 2 of beginning chain – 16 double crochet. Round 2: Chain 4, double crochet in same stitch, chain 2, * [double crochet, chain 2, double crochet, chain 2] in next stitch, [double crochet, chain 2] in next stitch, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch in chain 2 of beginning chain – 24 double crochet. Round 3: Chain 4, double crochet in same stitch, chain 2, * [double crochet, chain 2] in next stitch, [double crochet, chain 2] in next stitch, [double crochet, chain 2, double crochet, chain 2] in next stitch, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch in chain 2 of beginning chain – 32 double crochet. Rounds 4-13: Chain 4, work [double crochet, chain 2] in each stitch around, join with slip stitch in chain 2 of beginning chain. Round 14: Chain 2, single crochet in each stitch around, join with slip stitch in beginning chain. Round 15: Chain 2, single crochet in next 6 stitches, [pull up a loop in next stitch] twice, yarn over and through 3 loops, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch in chain 2 of beginning chain – 28 single crochet. Round 16: Chain 2, single crochet in each stitch around, join with slip stitch in beginning chain. Fasten off. Weave in ends. WIG Cut Coral Gables Homespun and Candy Apple Homespun into 1 yd. [1 m] lengths. Hold one strand of each yarn together and fold in half. Starting along lower edge, use crochet hook to draw fold through space in Wig Base, forming a loop. Pull ends of yarn through this loop and pull to tighten. Repeat with remaining yarn to cover Wig Base. Wig can be trimmed as desired. |
