GAUGE:

12 sts + 18 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in Garter st (knit every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Matinee 'Swing' Jacket Reviewed by Allison Murphy on 2008-09-19 *****
as a knitter who's only done rectangles, this patter was really awesome! i was also excited to see a pattern that didn't involve purling, which i haven't figured out to do.

it knit up pretty quickly, and looks pretty nice. it's a little big, but as a teenager i wear an adult XS and this is a small.

It is very warm and comfortable, and over all i think it looks really nice! i knit it in roccoco, whihc is a brown and cream mix.

this was a GREAT pattern!
