GAUGE:
20 sc + 27 rows = 4 in. [10 cm]. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

I'm new the whole amigurumi thing, and had only ever done fairly simple row-by-row pieces that you turn. I'm not used to rounds! I saw this and HAD to try it. It's a "Get Well" gift for my Granny, who's having surgery. Being a craft-oriented person herself, she'll love it!
I used a size H hook, but I used bulky and super bulky yarn to create a bigger bunny. Mine is about 7" seated. I used Hometown USA in Washington Denim color and Homespun in Cream color. I have to say, I was concerned when making the ears, but they turned out perfect. I used a less bulky yarn for them so that they'd have a bit more give. My stitches naturally run pretty tight. Plus, with the Homespun line, mistakes are harder to notice because it makes stitches look a little more complicated. :)
