GAUGE:

4 1/2 repeats + 8 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in V-st pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

V-Stitch Wrap-around Sweater Reviewed by Mary Nash on 2010-09-09 ****
The pattern was really easy to read and it was very fun to make. Im relativly new to crochet so I wasnt sure how I was going to make the arm holes but it was a lot easier than I thought. Though I didnt use the instructed sized hook (on purpose) it turned to be a fantastic project
