Circular knitting needle size 10 (6 mm), 32 in. (80 cm)
15 sts + 21 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Row 1 (RS): Sl 1, k to end of row.
Row 2: Sl 1, p to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows until piece measures 13 (14, 15) in.
(33 (35.5, 38) cm) from beg, end with a WS row.
Next Row (RS): K 52 (54, 56), bind off next 30 (32, 34) sts, k rem 30 sts.
Working over last 30 sts, work 5 rows in established pattern.
Cut yarn and reattach to rem 52 (54, 56) sts at armhole edge.
Beg with a WS row, work 5 rows in St st, then cast on 30 (32, 34) sts above bound-off armhole edge and k last 30 sts - 112 (116, 120) sts.
