Circular knitting needle size 8 [5 mm] 29 in. [73.5 cm]
GAUGE:
13 1/4 sts = 4 in. [10 cm] in Seed st with A. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

INSTRUCTIONS



PATTERN STITCH Seed Stitch (worked in rows on an uneven number of stitches) Row 1: *K1, p1, rep from * across, end k1. Rep Row 1 for Seed st worked in rows. Seed Stitch (worked in rnds) Rnd 1: *K1, p1, rep from * around, end k1. Rnd 2: K the purls and p the knits. Rep Row 2 for Seed st worked in rnds. SCARF With circular needle and A, cast on 201 sts. Working back and forth on circular needle, k 1 row,p 1 row. Do not end off A. With B, work Ruffle Row. End off B. Beg at end of circular needle at which A is attached, and beg with a RS row, work in Seed st (workedin rows, back and forth on circular needle) for 3 in. [7.5 cm], end with a wrong side row. Do notend off A. With B work 1 ruffle row. End off B. Beg at end of circular needle at which A is attached, k 1 row. Bind off. FINISHING Trim From RS with A, pick up and k 10 sts evenly spaced along short end of Scarf. Do not end offA. With B work Ruffle Row. End off B. Beg at end of circular needle at which A is attached, k1 row. Bind off. Rep Trim on other short end of scarf. Weave in ends. WRISTERS With circular needle and A, cast on 27 sts. Working back and forth on circular needle, k 1 row,p 1 row. Do not end off A. With B, work Ruffle Row. End off B. Divide sts onto 3 double pointed needles. Join, pm for beg of rnd. Work in Seed st in the rnd for 4in. [10 cm]. Shape Gusset Rnd 1: Work in Seed st as established over 3 sts, pm, yo, p1, yo, pm, work to end of rnd - 3sts between markers. Rnds 2 and 3: Work in Seed st as established to marker, slip marker, p to next marker, slipmarker, work to end of rnd. Rep last 3 rows until there are 11 sts between markers. Next Rnd: Work in Seed st as established to marker, bind off next 11 sts (thumb opening),work to end of rnd. Next Rnd: Work in Seed st as established casting on 4 sts over bound-off sts of previous rnd. Continue in Seed st until piece measures 2 in. [5 cm] above thumb opening. Bind off. FINISHING Weave in ends.
