GAUGE:

11½ hdc + 11 rows = 4 in. [10 cm]. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Downloadable Pattern: Crochet Log Cabin Afghan Reviewed by Helen Stauffer on 2009-03-28 *****
I just had to make this afghan but I too use it on my bed! It is so beautiful. I've always loved the log cabin. The colors are great too, you can put any pillow with it. I had fun making it and it is my treasure to me.
