Cabled Hat
Lion Brand® Lion® Cashmere Blend
GAUGE: 20 sts + 28 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: 2/2 LC (2 over 2 left cross) Slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in front, k2, then k2 from
cable needle.
8/8 LC (8 over 8 left cross) Slip 8 sts to cable needle and hold in front, k8, then k8 from
cable needle. |

| I tried this pattern but I thought the 128 stitch cast on was way too many. I am a new knitter, but is this correct?
