GAUGE:
16 sts + 22 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Shawl-Collared Cardigan Reviewed by krndpxyahoocom on 2012-03-27
I made this sweater out of Wool-Ease. It was quick and easy to make. I don't like the rolled edges on the sleeves and bottom of the sweater, so I knit a seed stitch border for about an inch. Worked like a charm. I really love this sweater, but had the same issues with the collar that everyone else seems to. I am making another one, and adding a couple of stitches to the collar facing, thinking if it were a little wider, it might lie down better.
