GAUGE:

17 sts + 24 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

The Road Scarf Reviewed by Kay Lynn Davis on 2010-02-06 *****
I LOVE this scarf pattern. I am almost finished with mine, and I have received so-o-o many compliments while knitting in public. In the hospital waiting room people actually came up to me, picked up the end, and told me how beautiful it was. At first I had problems with the mesh stitch but mastered it. Really, the only problem I have run into is that with 3 balls, I cannot get four groups of patterns. I will finish 3 sets and end with the basket pattern on the end.Has anyone else run into this problem? KayLynn in Ohio
