GAUGE:
9 hdc + 6 rnds = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION:

umm, it took me three times before I got this right ... it was huge, BUT 3rd time was a charm. Although the same letter, I realized my hook size was different. Once I figured out, I used a crystal "M"-13 hook to compete this project and it only took less than 2 hours. I made this in pink for one of the sisters at church who is a breast cancer survivor. This pairs great with the Crochet Lacy Scarf (also made in pink). I am looking forward to making more of these (and one for myself).
