Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice®
GAUGE:
16 sts + 22 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Flattering Sweater Reviewed by Paula Allen on 2009-03-24
I made this sweater in Vanna's Choice magenta and have gotten all kinds of compliments on it! It does look like the picture, and it doesn't look like any other sweater out there. I had a problem in figuring out how to sew up the side seams. After a couple of e-mails back and forth with LB customer service, here's what I found out. The fronts and the back have stockinette stitch sections, which I was trying to make match up at the sides. The big thing to remember when you're doing the finishing is that the stockinette stitch sections are not supposed to meet at the sides. Also, the word "vents" in the pattern refers to the ribbed edges. The back is longer, maybe more so than you can see in this picture. The trick for me was to sew one continuous seam from sleeve cuff to vents. It hangs beautifully now! The fabric this yarn makes is almost velvety. It's also affordable, since it often goes on sale.
