GAUGE:
One square = 8 x 8 in. (23 x 23 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. STITCH EXPLANATION:
Beg CL (Beginning Cluster) - ch 4 (counts as tr), [Yarn over hook twice, insert hook into ring, draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops, yarn over and draw through 2 loops] repeat 2 more times - 4 tr and 4 loops on hook. Yarn over and draw through all 4 loops.CL (Cluster) - [Yarn over hook twice, insert hook into ring, draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops, yarn over and draw through 2 loops - tr] repeat 3 times more - 4 tr and 5 loops on hook. Yarn over and draw through all 5 loops.

AFGHAN
Square 1 (make 4)
With A, ch 8. Join with sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Beg CL, *ch 4, CL; repeat from * 6 times, ch 4, join with sl st in 4th ch of beg ch 4. Fasten off A.
Rnd 2: Join B in any ch-4 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), 3 dc into same ch-4 sp, *4 dc into next ch-4 sp, ch 6, **4 dc into next ch-4 sp; rep from * twice then from * to ** once more, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 3.
Rnd 3: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), dc in each of next 7 dc, *[3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc] into next ch-6 sp, ** dc in each of next 8 dc; rep from * twice then from * to ** once more, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 3. Fasten off B.
Rnd 4: Join C in any ch-3 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), [1 dc, ch 3, 2 dc] into same sp, * dc in each of next 14 dc, **[2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc] into next ch-3 sp; rep from * twice then from * to ** once more, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 3. Fasten off C.

Square 3 (make 4)
Make same as Square 1, but using colors C, D, E, and F.

Make same as Square 1, but using colors E, F, G, and H.
Square 6 (make 4)
Make same as Square 1, but using colors F, G, H, and A.

Make same as Square 1, but using colors H, A, B, and C.
FINISHING
Lay squares out on a flat surface to determine a pleasing arrangement of 5 rows of 6 squares each. Sew squares together.
Edging
Rnd 1: From right side, join H with sl st along edge of Afghan. Ch 1, work sc evenly around edge of Afghan, working 3 sc at each corner. Fasten off.
Rnd 2: From wrong side, join F with sl st along edge of Afghan. Ch 1, work sc in each sc around. Fasten off.
Weave in ends.
