GAUGE:
13 hdc = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. Sizes (L, 1X/2X) only
Row 3: Ch 2, turn, continuing to work in back loops only, hdc in first 48 sts, place marker for cowl, hdc in last (80, 85) sts. Row 4: Rep Row 2. Row 5 (short row): Ch 1, turn, sl st in first (48, 48) sts, hdc in next (80, 85) sts.

SLEEVE (make 2) From right side, join yarn at underarm. Rnd 1: Ch 2, work 46 (50, 56, 58) hdc evenly spaced around armhole; join with sl st in top of beg ch. Rnd 2: Ch 2, turn, working in back loops only, hdc in each hdc around; join with sl st in top of beg ch.

This was my first ever 'big' crochet project and I found it very quick and easy to do. I made the sleeves full length and put a shell edging on their cuffs as I thought they looked a bit 'raw' and unfinished otherwise.
