GAUGE:
12 sc + 15 rows = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Sole
Ch 11 (11, 12, 12). Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across - 10 (10,11, 11) sc. Rows 2-10 (12, 14, 16): Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. Row 11 (13, 15, 17): Ch 1, turn, work 2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc to last sc, work 2 sc in last sc - 12 (12, 13, 13) sc. Row 12 (14, 16, 18): Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.
Rep last row until Sole measures 7 (8 1/2, 10, 11 1/2) in. (18 (21.5, 25.5, 29) cm) from beginning. Place marker in last st. Do not fasten off. Side
Note: Sides of Booties are worked in rounds. Rnd 1: Work 21 (26, 30, 35) sc evenly spaced along side of Sole, work 10 (10, 11, 11) sc along end of Sole for back of heel, work 21 (26, 30, 35) sc evenly spaced along side of Sole, work 12 (12, 13, 13) sc across remaining end of Sole to marker - 64 (74, 84, 94) sc. Join with sl st to beginning sc. Rnds 2-4 (4, 5, 5): Working in front loops only, sc in each sc around, join with sl st to beginning sc at end of each rnd. Instep

Agree with the others, pattern is very confusing once I got to the instep I didnt know what I was doing..
