GAUGE:

11 hdc + 8 rows = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Beach Cover-up / Cardigan Reviewed by Angel Wells on 2009-10-27 *****
I made this in a week & this is my first sweater that I have crocheted. I consider myself an advanced beginner, so was surprised at how easy this was considering it was classified as intermediate. Enjoyed the way it turned out so much, plan on making another one!
