GAUGE: Not applicable. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Cut 4 lengths of wire each 60 in. (152.5 cm) and 8 lengths each 24 in. (61 cm).
With pliers, bend one end of each length into a loop. Tie yarn to bent end of wire, then wrap wire completely with yarn. If needed, secure ends of yarn with glue. Repeat for all wire pieces.
Hold 4 longer lengths together and wrap at center with a small piece of wire. Lay bundle onto a flat surface, and spread lengths into evenly spaced spokes.
Twist the ends of a shorter wire length onto ends of 2 adjoining spokes; repeat for all eight sections.
Cut a long doubled length of yarn. Tie length to one spoke, about 5 in. (12.5 cm) inside outer edge. Wrap and knot yarn around each spoke in turn. Repeat with 4 more doubled yarn lengths, each about 5 in. (12.5 cm) closer to the Web center.
