GAUGE:
22 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
w&t (wrap and turn) Bring yarn between needles to front, slip next st as if to purl, bring yarn back between needles to back (one st wrapped).

Slip st back to left needle and turn work.

On following row, when working wrapped st, pick up wrap and place on left needle, work wrap together with wrapped st.

NOTES:
Short rows are worked across back of hand to flare the top of each Arm Warmer slightly.
