GAUGE:
15 sts and 16 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) over pattern. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. STITCH EXPLANATION:
FPDC - Yarn over and insert hook around post of designated stitch working from front to back to front.

Yarn over and pull up a loop (3 loops on hook).

Yarn over and pull through two loops, yarn over and pull through two loops.

INSTRUCTIONS



DISH MAT
Use B as Color 1 and A as Color 2.


With Color 1, ch 31.


Row 1 (RS): Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across - 28 sts.


Row 2: Ch 1, turn.

Sc in each st across.


Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), turn.

*FPDC around the post of next dc 2 rows below, dc in next sc; rep from * across.


Row 4: Rep Row 2.


Row 5: Ch 3, turn.

Dc in next dc, *FPDC around post of next dc 2 rows below, dc in next sc; rep from * to end, dc in top of turning ch.


Rows 6-29: Continuing in Color Sequence, rep Rows 2-5.

Do not turn at end of last row.


Row 30: Rep Row 2.

Fasten off.


Edging
Ch 1, sc evenly across side, work (sc, ch 10, sc) in next corner, (sc evenly across next side, 3 sc in next corner) 3 times, join with sl st in first sc.

Fasten off.
