STITCH EXPLANATION:
sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

INSTRUCTIONS



APPLE With A, ch 2. Rnd 1: Work 10 sc in first ch. Place marker in first st for beginning of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed. Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each st around - 20 sts. Rnd 3: Sc in each st around. Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 30 sts. Rnds 5 -10: Sc in each st around. Rnd 11: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 8 sts, rep from * around - 27 sts. Rnd 12: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 7 sts, rep from * around - 24 sts. Rnd 13: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 6 sts, rep from * around - 21 sts. Rnd 14: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * around - 18 sts. Rnds 15 and 16: Sc in each st around. Stuff firmly. Rnd 17: *Sc2tog, sc in next st, rep from * around - 12 sts. Rnd 18: Sc2tog around - 6 sts. Fasten off. LEAF With B, ch 4. 2 double crochet in 2nd ch from hook, half double crochet in next ch, 3 sc in last ch. Working along opposite side of ch, half double crochet in next ch, 2 double crochet in last ch. Fasten off. FINISHING Sew a loop of brown yarn at top of Apple for stem, sew the Leaf to the side of the stem. Weave in ends.
