GAUGE:
9 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
kfb (knit into front and back) Knit next st without removing it from left needle, then k through back of same st -1 st increased.


INSTRUCTIONS



SCARF
Cast on 2 sts.


Inc Row: K to last st, kfb in last st - 3 sts.


Rep Inc Row until you have a total of 15 sts.


Dec Row: K to last 2 sts, k2tog - 14 sts.


Rep Dec Row until 7 sts rem.


Continue to inc to 15 sts and dec to 7 sts until piece measures about 60 in.

(152.5 cm) from beginning, end with 7 sts.

Rep Dec Row until 2 sts rem.


K2tog.

Cut yarn and pull through rem loop.
