GAUGE:
4 V-sts = 9 in. (23 cm) with 5 strands of A and 2 strands of B held together. Due to the nature of the fabric when working with a Speed Hook, gauge may vary throughout project. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Making a Gauge Swatch
Exact gauges is not imporant to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
V-st (Dc, ch 1, dc) in indicated st.

NOTES:
1.

Set lengths aside.

INSTRUCTIONS

SCARF
With 5 strands of A and 2 strands of B held together, ch 25.

Row 1: V-st in 5th ch from hook, *sk next 2 ch, V-st in next ch; rep from * across to last 2 ch, sk next ch, dc in last ch - 7 V-sts.

Row 2: Ch 3, turn, V-st in each ch-1 sp across, dc in top of turning ch.

Rep Row 2 until almost all yarn is used.

Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.

Fringe
For each fringe, hold 5 strands of A and 2 strands of B together and fold in half.

Use crochet hook to draw fold through edge of piece, forming a loop.

Pull ends of fringe through this loop and tighten.

Make 15 fringes along each short edge of Scarf, knotting the fringe through each ch-1 sp and sps between V-sts.

Trim fringe ends evenly.
