GAUGE:
17 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Continue in St st until piece measures about 12 in.
(30.5 cm) from beg, end with a WS row.

Continue in St st until piece measures about 14 in.
(35.5 cm) from beg.
Bind off.
Maxi Gauntlet Only
Continue in St st until piece measures about 15 in.
(38 cm) from beg, end with a WS row.
Next Row: Rep Inc Row - 31 sts.
Continue in St st until piece measures about 18 in.
(46 cm) from beg, end with a WS row.

FINISHING
Beg at hand edge of Gauntlet, seam sides for 1 1/2 in.
