GAUGE:
12 sc and 16 rows = 4 in [10 cm]. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. Shape Sleeves: Inc 1 st at each end of next 3 rows, then work 1 roweven. Rep these 4 rows 4 more times -- 90 (96, 102, 108, 114, 120) sc.

Mark position of 6 buttons evenly spaced on Left Front edgewith first one 1/4 in. above lower edge and last one 1 inch below neck edge.
RIGHT FRONT: Work to correspond to Left Front, rev shaping and workingbuttonholes (= ch, skip 1 sc) 3 sts from front edge.
FINISHING:
Pocket trim: Work 2 rows sc on each pocket opening edge. Sew pocket trimsides to Jacket. Sew pocket lining in place to WS of Jacket. Sc or sl stshoulder and Sleeve top seam, rev seam for turn-back cuff and leaving centerBack 23 (23, 23, 25, 25, 25) sc free. Sew side seams leaving 3 in. open at loweredge for slits, if desired.
Jacket trim: Work 2 rows sc along Right Front Jacket edge, around neck edgeand down Left Front Jacket edge working 3 sc to turn corner at each neck edge.Fasten off. Sew buttons opposite buttonholes. Weave in ends.
