This hat of super-soft Lion® Cashmere Blend with a delicate stripe of red and white hearts matches the Queen of Hearts Receiving Blanket pattern. Note that this pattern can be made from the amount of yarn that is left from making the blanket. Perfect for Valentine's Day or just because! |

GAUGE: 17 sts + 25 rows = 4 in [10 cm] in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS) BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

POM-POM Cut a strip of cardboard the size you want your pompom to be. With one strand each A and B, wrap yarn around cardboard – the more wraps, the fuller the pompom will be. Cut yarn leading to skein. Slide a doubled strand of yarn under center of wraps and knot. Clip loops; remove cardboard. Fluff pompom and trim ends evenly. Use the ends of the knotted strand to attach pompom to top of hat. |
