Felted Hook Book
Lion Brand® Lion® Wool
GAUGE: 12 stitches by 15 rows = 4" (10 cm) BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

FINISHING:
Weave in ends. FELTING:
Wash Hook Book by machine on a hot wash/cold rinse cycle with detergent and several pieces
of clothing to agitate. To felt additionally, dry by machine on a regular setting until almost
dry. Remove from dryer and pull into shape. For more about felting, click
here.
Insert Hooks through the felt for storage. Felt, once made, will not unravel like an
unfelted piece might, so if necessary, cut holes in the felt for larger hooks.. |

I wish you would tell us how much yarn we really need for a pattern. I haven't made this yet but I'm pretty sure I don't need a full skein of each of the colours.
When I make it, I'm going to double the height and fold it over so the hooks don't show through the other side when I roll it. That may make the roll too thick, I realize, but the beauty of felt is that I can just cut it and make a second roll out of the extra piece!
My other thought is to sew a piece of material to the outside - maybe a nice brocade - which would glam it up and hide the hooks.
Love your patterns - thanks for them!
