STITCH EXPLANATION:
This blanket uses the pretty 'purl ridges' stitch pattern.


INSTRUCTIONS



DOLL AFGHAN

Cast on 25 (55, 80)stitches.

Rows 1-4: Knit

Row 5: Knit 3, purl until there are three stitches remaining, knit 3 stitches.

Row 6: Knit 3. Then purl 1, knit 1 until there are three stitches remaining, knit 3.

Row 7: Knit 3, purl until there are three stitches remaining, knit 3 stitches.

Row 8: Knit.
Repeat rows 5-8 8 (16, 24) times or until length is appropriate for the doll.
Next 4 rows: Knit. Bind off all stitches, weave in ends.
Using the crochet hook, draw a single (single, double) strand of yarn through each stitch
at the end of the blanket and knot it for fringe. Trim to a length that is in scale with
the blanket (for the small version, we trimmed to roughly 1/2 inch [1 cm]). If needed, use a steam iron set to low temperature to block blanket into shape.
