Knifty Knitter Warm Little Winter Muff
Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick® - Fun Fur®
GAUGE:
Exact gauge is not essential to this project.
NOTES:
Use red loom.
MUFF
Round 1: With A, wrap all pegs and knit around.
Continue to knit around until piece measures 10 inches [25 cm]
Next Row: Change to two strands of B (take from both ends of the ball or wrap two
balls). Knit until piece measures 24 inches total (including the 10 inches crafted with
A).
Bind off: Starting at the beginning of a round, wrap a single peg. Lift the bottom row of yarn
over the wrapped stitch. *Lift the stitch and put it on the adjacent left peg.
Lift the bottom row of yarn over the stitch just moved. Wrap the peg and lift the bottom
row of yarn over the wrapped stitch. Repeat from * until only one stitch remains.
Cut yarn, leaving a long tail and pull through the remaining stitch and tighten to
secure.
FINISHING Weave in end of (A). Turn piece so that the portion made from B is on the inside and comes
out the other end (the muff will be completely lined with the 'fur'.) Using the large-eyed, blunt needle and end of B, join open end of A
and B.
Roll the ends slightly (they have a natural tendency to roll anyhow) so that the fur
inside overlaps the outside edge.

I made this for charity. Elderly ladies seem to have cold hands and the group I work with thought we could make some muffs to help them. T had two problems. One ball of Fun Fur is absolutely not enough. The method used for binding off the fun fur seemed to make the binding too tight. The next one I think I will crochet off the loops because I have a little more control than with the loom.
It's a great pattern.
I'm thinking of making two in red and white - just like one of the other reviewers - for my two grandchildren.
